So, I thought I'd give y'all a little update on the progress of my hCG diet. What an adventure it's been. Its been quite a roller coaster, filled with big losses, some gains, and constant change. And even though I always tell people they should give it a try, it is definitely not for the faint of heart.
I've now lost over 35lbs. I've tried to stay very dedicated with it, and stay right on track. I did take the smallest break on thanksgiving day and had a very modest dinner with my Auntie Patty, Uncle Bill and cousins Barbie and Will and their spouses. It was a hoot, and I only gained a pound that day. Then I spent the rest of that week and weekend up at the Villa preparing corporate goodie gift boxes. I couldn't resist nibbling a little, and thus had a very up and down weekend. But, I'm back to a constant loss now.
Now, it should be said that I don't recognize weight loss in my self very easily. I feel like I look the same. However, comments are getting more and more numerous. Monica from Concert Choir said I was looking so much thinner, Elise and Sarah from my old ward said I was looking amazing, Isaac and Candace said I was getting so skinny and was like a new person. Basically, their lies are very kind. I do enjoy them, even though I tend to blush just a bit, and then deny it adamantly. I find that very agreeable.
I did, however, need to go buy some new clothes. I got some new pants and shirts, cause I just wasn't really fitting into my old stuff very well. Isaac kept making comments about my pants being to big...haha. So, I broke down and bought some. I also fit into some of my old clothes that I haven't fit into for some time, including my nice grey coat. I find it very agreeable. I also got a wonderful deal on a $90 coat from Nordstroms for only $20. I got it just a little small, so I can wear it longer.
Needless to say, I'm very happy with the results thus far. I think I might be doing one more round some time next year. Definitely not the long cycle though, just the short one. Then I will be doing my P90X to finish off the new look. I'm hoping by my birthday in June...I'll be a whole new person! We shall see...
Wow! I want to see you now!
