Glee Assignment

  This week on Glee, we had ourselves a little Diva-off.  Mercedes and Rachel sang my favorite song from the musical Rent: Take Me or Leave Me.  Now, while they had a grand old time singing it, and in so doing re-kindled their friendship, they definitely didn't do the song as much justice as the Idina Menzel version.  I am a great fan of divas.  Especially the great divas of the 90s.  So, I did the assignment.


  For my glee assignment, I decided to find one of the greatest songs by one of the greatest divas of our time.  There were only so many options to chose from: Celine, Mariah, Whitney, Jennifer, Mary, Aretha, or Diana.  But, I think I've found the one.  Some of the greatest belting you'll ever here, and one of the greatest love songs ever written (thanks to Dolly).   Enjoy!

    Perfect! I loved this song when I was little. I had a cassette of the Bodyguard Soundtrack and I pretty much wore it out. I learned how to sing by belting along with Whitney... ah the memories... :)
