Dear Fork,

I would tend to say that if he doesn't call you within a week, maximum of two weeks, then he probably won't ask again. It definitely depends on the guy, but that is a good average rule to stick by.

    This is very sound advice. I would say though, I really doubt that he will call again if two weeks go by...at that point I would tend to question if he was really interested or if his date fell through and you become the back-up plan.
